Great British Yarns is an online stockist of knitting yarn and needles, together with patterns and accessories. You will find a wide range of knitting yarns from skeins of natural and organic fibre through to striking hand dyed yarns in vibrant colours. We also aim to support and promote British craftspeople and this is reflected in our buttons, stitch markers and notecards.

Our suppliers are a wide range of yarn and wool enthusiasts, ranging from small mills to urban dyers! As you would expect, their yarns are also wide ranging from cashmere, alpaca and silk to organic wool. Whether your preference is for knitting socks, hats, jumpers or blankets we hope you will find the perfect yarn here.

We aim to despatch your order within 24 hours of receipt. We also ship worldwide and details of our international shipping rates can be found on the terms and conditions page. We accept payment by all major debit and credit cards and PayPal. Postage and packing for orders £50 and over are free for UK Customers.

Wrap yourself up in luxurious comfort with the Dimensions Wrap. This silky soft wrap showcases the light and airy qualities of Aloft while adding a visual structure with its modernist design. This heavenly wrap features solid and two-toned blocks of color, giving the illusion of more colors than were used for the shawl. Using a simple garter stitch lets you focus on the changing colors as you knit. Aloft is very similar to Rowan Kidsilk Haze.

Kit includes a total of (8) 25 gram balls of Aloft along with the Dimensions Wrap pattern:

You will need US 2 (2.75 mm) straight needles or 32-40" circulars or size to obtain gauge. You will also need a yarn needle, stitch markers and scrap yarn.
