Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept payment by credit/debit card, Paypal, cheque or postal order. You do not need to have, or open, a Paypal account in order to make payment. If you wish to pay by cheque or postal order, please make payable to Great British Yarns and post to 66 Langdon Road, BATH, Somerset. BA2 1LT.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, if we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. We reserve the right to refuse an order if we are advised by our secure payment provider that a transaction may be 'high risk' or possibly fraudulent.

However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. Please be aware that although we have made every effort to reproduce colours accurately, these may vary depending upon your computer screen settings. If a product offered by us is not as described your sole remedy is to return it in an unused, resaleable condition. |

Delivery Schedule We aim to process and despatch your order on the day of receipt. Normally we will despatch your order to you within 48 hours after payment has been cleared.
Once the goods have been delivered to the carrier, the risk of loss and title passes to the customer. |

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
Great British Yarns complies with the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. If your goods are not of merchantable quality we will replace them or refund your money. Please be aware that yarn colours may run when washed and for that reason should be washed separately.
We do, however, reserve the right to apply our rights under 'caveat emptor' if you buy the wrong goods. We may, at our discretion, exchange them for other goods, but any postage costs involved will be at the buyers' expense. Before we will consider this we need to know that the goods to be returned are still in saleable condition, ie:
Items to be returned in original packaging and packets not opened
Hands of wool not wound nor tainted in any way, eg cigarette smoke, pet smells or perfume etc
No damage to needles etc
Items such as patterns and books will not be accepted for return, due to copyright issues, unless we have send the wrong items.
