Scarlet Jacket by Deborah Cowell
A very attractive Aran jacket, perfect for long walks on cold days, this really will keep you warm. This is a shaped jacket with a flare from the waist down which is very flattering for all shapes and sizes.
The jacket is knitted in one piece up to the armholes and then divided and worked separately.
This garment was made in Jamieson’s Aran, which is now only available in natural. Jamieson’s Shetland Heather is also perfect.
Sizing: This fits from size 12 to size 18—the shaping means it is a very attractive oversized jacket in the smaller sizes and a flattering shaped jacket for the larger.
Finished Measurements: Around armholes 106 cm (42 inches), around hips 127 cm (50 inches)
Materials: Jamieson’s of Shetland Aran—10 x 100g , Shetland Heather 17 x 50g balls Or 1490 metres of aran weight yarn
Needles: 4mm and 5mm tips. 100cm cable or longer, plus shorter cable for pockets. Cable needle. 9 Buttons.
