  1. Great new yarn from De Rerum Natura, Candide, a blend of Organic Merino from Arles and recycled carded cotton all processed in France. This yarn has great green credentials and is also dyed using natural dyes which is a real achievement for a commerically produced yarn.  The blend is slightly softer than Ulysse and the blend has a slight mottled look which is very attractive.  This is a more of a 4 ply weight with the recommended needle size being 2.5 to 3.00 mm.  There are 11 very attractive shades, two of which are natural and undyed.

    Please note:  The 'Grand Bleu' which is dyed using indigo may bleed on the first wash, so if knitting with white, so bear this in  mind.  It is also suggested that you don't leave Candide yarn or the knitted garment in direct sun for long periods.

    Yarn Composition: 70% organic  merino wool, 30% recycled cotton

    Suggested Needle Size:  2.5mm - 3.0 mm

    Meterage: 185 metres (202 yards) approximately per 50g ball

    Type & Weight: 4ply weight, 50g ball
    Care Instructions: Handwash in warm (not hot) water with gentle soap.  Dry flat.
