Tweed Baby Blanket Pattern Booklet
Shetland Hap Style blanket by Jared Flood
This square-shaped baby blanket was inspired by traditional Hap shawls of the Shetland Islands. The centre square, which is knitted in garter stitch, is worked on the bias and creates diagonal ridges. The 'Old Shale' lace frame is picked up directly from the centre square and worked in the round. The projects is finished off with an I-cord bind off for a piping style finish.
This attractive blanket comes in two sizes, 41 inch square or 45 inch square. The small size uses 2 colours, the large 3 colours.
Suggested needle size: 5.5 and 6 mm.
Knitted in worsted weight yarn.
