  1. We're really excited to be stocking a new yarn that is spun around 5 miles from my home.  Kinross is spun by Todd and Duncan, a mill specialising in spinning cashmere and lambswool based on the shores of Loch Leven in Kinross, Perthshire.  Commissioned by Wee County Yarns, this is a 100% lambswool spun from Geelong extra fine merino from certified non-mulesed flocks from South Africa and Australia.

The wool is hanked from the cone and so still has a little spinning oil, so needs a wash after knitting.  It then blooms into a super soft, plump knitted piece that you'll be really pleased with.  It comes in 22 different shades and so you'll find something to please you and if you are wanting to knit a Fairisle sweater but not in Shetland then this is a great alternative.  I'm really excited about this one.
