Another fabulous yarn from Wee County Yarns, the beautiful Scottish-spun pure lambswool in a lacweight!

We are incredibly proud to be stocking this gorgeous yarn alongside the fabulous Kinross 4ply. . Kinross Lace is 100% lambswool from certified non-mulesed flocks that knits up with a soft, cosy handle. This yarn is spun by Todd and Duncan, a firm that has been making high-quality yarns for 150 years. Until 1950 they were based in Alva, in the Wee County, which used to be filled with textile mills. They are now based on the shores of Loch Leven at Kinross, making cashmere and lambswool yarns for big name fashion labels. We are lucky enough to have this yarn available for us hand knitters!

This yarn softens significantly once washed. Ideal for lace shawls it is a great substitute for Patons Dreamtime 3ply - often used in traditional baby shawls. We wind the hanks directly from the cone without scouring but a quick wash with detergent after knitting softens it up beautifully.
