This is the perfect yarn for all your Fair Isle projects. Made from pure Shetland wool that's farmed on the Shetland Isles, Spindrift is a fabulous product. Jamieson's of Shetland have been milling Spindrift for decades and is a real family-run business. The yarn is a 2 ply 100% wool that knits as a 4 ply. It comes in a range of 220 colours so you will not be short for choice. It does wash and wear well becoming a really soft and dense fabric.

Suggested Needle Size: 3 - 3.25 mm (3 USA)
Suggested Tension: 30 sts x 32 rows over 10 cm (4 inches)
Meterage: 105 metres (114 yards) approx per 25g ball

Care Instructions: Hand Wash, dry flat.

Great service from a friendly business

Excellent speedy service. I ordered a number of different Spindrift shades (not just blues) to stock up my yarn store for the Fair Isle berets that I knit. GBY had all the shades that I wanted and my order was dispatched within 24 hours of ordering.
My only minor grumble is that I couldn't log on to the website as an existing customer, although I have been buying from this firm for years; in the end I had to log on as a new customer. Maybe that's because I don't buy very often - GBY sell such beautiful yarns but I don't knit quickly enough to take advantage of them all!
