Ulysse is, like its big brother Gilliatt, a woollen spun yarn made from a blend of white French Mérinos d'Arles (Provence) and black Portuguese merino (Alentejo valley) raised with a concern for the well-being of the animals and the valorisation of their wool.

Made up of two well-twisted strands, it is a light, soft and delicately fluffy sport weight yarn which is perfect for fair isle and colorwork but also for drawing delicate cables or enhancing a beautifully rustic lace.

Composition and Yardage:
French mérinos d'Arles and Portuguese black merino woollen spun in France. 202 yards (185 m) / 50 g approx.

Gauge (for 10 x 10 cm of st st):
24 st x 38 rows, 3 mm needles / US 2
22 st x 34 rows, 3,5 mm needles / US 4

The best online shopping experience EVER

This was such a great shopping experience, I really don't know where to start. From the outset Tina was super-helpful by email in guiding me with my choice of yarns and colours, with lots of to and from over different possibilities. Once decided, payment was swift and easy to make, and the yarns themselves arrived very quickly, beautifully packaged. The colours were all spot-on, and the yarn itself incredibly soft and high quality. I real find, and I feel like I now have a new knitting buddy! I urge you all to support Tina and see for yourselves how great the experience is.

Good knitting yarn

I have just begun a knitting project with this wool and I wonder why I haven’t used it before to knit a hardy garment, using it to knit a zip up jacket. Will send photos when completed.
