The Herblore Pullover/Slipover knitting pattern was inspired by my ever-growing love, and study of the plants around us and their roles in our lives.
From their preferred soil type, to their uses in the dye pot, from my teapot, to stories and lore passed down for generations and everything in between.
The knitting pattern is a positive ease sweater and vest pattern with a loose comfortable fit. The perfect cosy/casual piece to add to your Winter wardrobe. It goes well over dresses and skirts knitted in the cropped option, or over jeans in the full-length option.
The piece is knitted bottom up, in the round, then split for the arm holes. Short rows shape the shoulders, and the sleeves are picked up last and worked in the round.
The pullover knitting pattern features cozy texture motifs, and lateral braid details, as well as a rolled collar.
The sweater is knitted in DK weight yarn on size US 7/4.5 mm needles. I used Jacob DK by Nellie & Eve for my sample.
