The MAXIME Sweater is an oversized turtleneck sweater with wide sleeves and distinctive ribbed cuffs.
The sweater is knitted from top to bottom. First, the upper back is knitted in rows, and the shoulder slant is formed with the help of increases. Then the right and left front pieces are knitted directly onto the back piece. Before the two front pieces are brought together, the left front piece, the back part and the right front part are joined together, and at the same time, stitches for the sleeves are drawn from the side edges of the front pieces. It continues to knit in rows until the neckline is formed, parallel to which the increases for the sleeves are worked. After the work is closed for the round, increases for the body are knitted in addition to the sleeve increases, similar to a raglan sweater. Later, the work is divided, and the body and sleeves are finished separately. Finally, stitches from the neckline are taken for the turtleneck and, like the cuffs on the sleeves and torso, knitted in a half-patent, with the "frizzy" side of the pattern being the front. The MAXIME sweater can be knitted in one colour or with stripes.
Techniques used: semi-patent with envelopes, left and right inclined increases, left and right inclined double decreases in the case of half patent, casting off with the 'Italian method'. All techniques used are explained in the instructions.

Circular knitting needle 4.5 mm / 40-50 cm and 80 -100 cm.
Circular knitting needle 3.0 mm / 40-50 cm (for turtlenecks and sleeve cuffs), 80 -100 cm (for cuffs on the torso)
Gauge
stockinette stitch with Nd 4.5 mm: 18 - 19 sts x 27 - 28 R = 10 x 10 cm, measured after washing.
Semi-patent with Nd 3.0 mm: 22 - 23 M x 40 - 42 R = 10 x 10 cm, measured after washing.
To adjust the gauges, choose a different needle size if necessary.
For the quality 'Como Grande', for example, it is recommended to go
down half a needle size (4.0 mm), as this yarn is not quite as elastic as the other recommended yarns. So the stitches get bigger because the yarn doesn't contract as much.
