Never Ending Story Sweater by Susanne Müller
The NEVER ENDING STORY sweater is a classic, simple ribbed sweater with a V-neck. A basic piece that can be easily combined, especially in spring/summer, and belongs in every wardrobe.
The sweater is knitted from the top down in half-patent stitch, with the garter stitch side of the pattern being the front. First, the back is knitted, then the left and right front pieces. The back and front pieces are knitted flat up to the end of the armholes. Then, the two pieces are joined together to form the body, which is then worked in the round. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front and back pieces and also knitted in the round. Finally, the V-neck is finished with an I-cord edging.
Techniques used: Half-patent stitch with yarn overs, left and right slanted double increases, left and right slanted double decreases, cast-off using the 'Italian method', I-cord cast-off.
