We love yarns from Studio Donegal and this soft chunky yarn is one of our favourites. It's made from 100% Pure Merino wool and so is soft and nice to handle. The colours are amazing, full of depth with tweedy neps that add the right amount of texture and interest. Chunky weight is so great for quick knits and last minute gifts. Seriously, what's not to like about this super soft chunky yarn?

Lovely wool

Using the wool to knit a Aran style pram blanket. It knits up beautifully and is a lovely colour.

Great buy

I haven't knitted in about 15 years, but recently saw some Donegal knits in a high-end high street chain, so thought it was worth seeing if I could make one at half the shop price, to be on-trend and creative at the same time. I researched the wool and discovered Great British Yarns sold exactly what I was after.
As well as being beautifully flecked, Donegal Chunky is very easy to knit with and I will be back for another shade for my next project. Delivery was as advised.
